Nissa

Nissa (they/she) is an Indigenous witch and visual artist.

Growing up a Portland native, Nissa has always had both a strong connection and reverence for the land and the fae. Her relationship with these fairy beings was such that they seemed to follow her from house to house. She was constantly building them homes and leaving them offerings. At six years old, she could be found in her room drawing the mystical creatures she saw, or concocting tinctures out of crushed herbs from the garden. 

Nowadays, Nissa draws parallels between witchcraft and artistic expression. She works to incorporate spirituality in her creations, often imbedding paintings with spellwork and intent. 

As a highly valued member of The Raven’s Wing team, Nissa is here to answer questions, provide insight, and works to inspire creativity in the magical practices of our local community. Nissa sees art in its very nature - as witchcraft. Throughout her continuous portfolio, she explores the relationship to art and magick, the multi-dimensional, and the psyche. Through canvas, Nissa opens portals of thought and spiritual awakening; An exit from earthly existence. 

As a tarot reader, Nissa’s background in artistry unlocks unique interpretations. She utilizes and personalizes the art of the cards to deepen each reading.

She always wishes to aid in healing, understanding, and guidance. Channeling her creativity into tarot, she is dedicated to providing empathetic, intuitive insight. Nissa believes that being heard is the first step, and welcomes all with open arms.
